This dry, juniper led gin tastes like it has been designed for the much loved G&T. This exceptional gin starts life as Chase's Potato Vodka, but is then combined with a selection of 10 botanicals - the likes of juniper, almond, angelica, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, coriander, ginger, lemon peel and liquorice root. Boasts a good balance of spice and citrus, with the all-important juniper commanding the room.
The aroma is fittingly juniper forward with warm spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.
The palate is dry and full-bodied with a citrus quality with spice at the back, followed by a large helping of juniper.
The finish retains that ever present spiciness but with a refreshing touch of citrus zest and a hint of apple.
This well-constructed gin displays refreshing notes of citrus with warm spice, and makes for a fantastic G&T.
I tried a few glasses without the ginger and didn't rate it. After I put fresh ginger in it was a game changer and I bought a second bottle straight away one of my new favourites.
Although this gin is supposed to have botanicals these are not very prominent. If you like very dry gin this is your bag but this certainly wasn’t mine, so won’t be buying it again
Dry but nicely spiced gin with very distinct ginger tone. Makes a nice wintry gin as it has a warm after taste on the palette. Mix wise, don't really bother with lemon as it gets lost and confused in the taste. Lime is perfect and works well with orange. Tonic wise, i tried basic tonic tastes which just jumbled up the flavours, however, put it with Fever Tree clementine with cinnamon and it's terrific. A bit specialised and not for everyone. Quality non the less.
Beautifully bold juniper dry gin. Definitely my go to gin!
Superb clean gin, especially tasty served with Mediterranean tonic water. Did not try with ginger slice but thyme sprig. Good in cocktails. A nice solid sturdy bottle too.
