Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Amongst a fruit-tastic salvo of citrus zest, apricot yoghurt and ripe nectarines there’s earthy juniper, a hint of leather and a touch of exotic spice.

Palate

A very sweet, quite syrupy texture reveals notes of juicy citrus, warming ginger, hints of juniper and unmistakable quince. There’s plenty of fleshy pear and peach in there too.

Finish

A note of thick-cut Seville orange marmalade lingers with a little zesty grapefruit.

Overall

One of the best flavoured-gins around - beautifully balanced and stunning with elderflower tonic and a slice of orange.

Hidden treasure

Discovered amongst gins in an advent calendar, this was far the most characteristic. Almost a liqueur, the quince shines through. With tonic and a slice, you have a balanced, smooth and deeply satisfying drink. A bit shy on the shelves, unfortunately, and rather high end.

I love this gin, I love the syrupy mouth feel, I adore the flavour, I just love it! I have it neat, with tonic and soda, with icecream, I have not enjoyed another gin since. Good job, Whitley Neill

Superb

My all time favourite WN gin! Yes, it is sweet but balance out that sweetness with a cucumber tonic or use it as part of a cocktail (in a gimlet or as a sour is good!). But I will also happily drink it neat - cheers!

One of the best gins available

This is a deliciously fruity gin which leaves you wanting more and more. It can be drunk neat, over the rocks - but I love it with plain tonic. It's true, it is comparatively sweet, but you can either add a squeeze of fresh lemon - or personally I add a few drops of Frankincense bitters - DIVINE!
