Cornwall has long been the number 1 destination for coastal getaways, greenhouse biomes and clotted cream, but a new distillery is looking to put it on the map for something perhaps even more exciting; small batch Cornish Gin!
Elemental Cornish Gin is made using traditional methods with organic English grain alcohol, locally sourced Cornish spring water and a selection of 12 botanicals including Juniper berries from Croatia, Coriander seed from Spain, Cassia bark from China and Orris root from Morocco. The rest are a closely guarded family secret, protected by Cornish wrestlers (not really).

Bought a bottle after a taste at a food fair in Padstow. I've never been a big gin fan, much preferring my single malts so assumed it would rest a while in the spirit cupboard. One night I decided to give it a try and was very impressed. The flavours are lovely, so much so that it makes a lovely drink with just a little ice. Well worth trying.

Thought this was going to be just another gin but it turned out to be really lovely. Light and pleasant, fantastic with a slice of lemon and big ice cubes. certainly in my top 5 gins.
