Nose: There’s fresh, alfresco pine needles and bright juniper, with a good whack of citrus from baked lemon slices. Touches of candied peel and chalky Love Hearts develop.
Palate: Cardamom and cinnamon bring aromatic spice that cuts through lemon mousse, piney juniper and a soft floral undertone. There’s a helping of pleasant bitterness from pink grapefruit there too.
Finish: The juniper becomes spicier and drying among some more creamy lemon notes.
Overall: A very tasty tipple with exciting cocktail potential. Beware of the Woods, but not this delightful gin!
