Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla

Back in the 1860s, Tanqueray creator Charles Tanqueray visited the orange groves of Spain and eventually produced a gin recipe based around the glory of Seville oranges. In early 2018, they released Tanqueray Sevilla Gin, inspired by the recipe written over 140 years ago! If you like your gin to be citrus-focussed and generally excellent, you're in for a sun-soaked treat.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Crisp juniper and zesty orange flesh, supported by earthy vanilla and allspice.

Reviews for Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla
Good for a marmalade martini
The nice people at Master of Malt sent me a miniature of this to try. I generally like the Tanqueray family of gins and this worked out well in a marmalade martini. The orange wasn't overpowering but for my taste a little too summery to drink in winter just with tonic.

Not my cup of gin
Not a fan of flavoured gums. Think this tastes a little artificial. Sorry

Very well done
For a mainstream gin this is very good. Nicely balanced orange notes with sweetness but still defo gin. Great for mixing cocktails and G and T. Great for the price. I am going to try Rangpur next.

It made a very different, surprising, but eminently flavorful and delightful very dry martini, straight up with an olive, shaken. Bliss, really. Now I’m not sure which of the three I like better, orig, rangpur or sevilla.

Orange gin without the liqueur effect.
Lovely balanced gin with terrific Seville orange kick. Unlike a lot of gin liqueurs which can end up being sweet flavoured syrups, this one seems to exist in the middle ground, hence the 41.3 and not the standard 37.5. Well worth it and still has the character of Tanqueray.

My son Harry bought me this for Father's Day. It is nothing less than gorgeous. My favourite gin, my favourite drink currently

Hoping they bottle it in larger quantities!
An excellent balance of orange flavor while still maintaining the wonderful botanicals that Tanqueray has always possessed. The best!
