Tanqueray Rangpur Bottling Note

Something different here from Tanqueray. This gin is flavoured with Rangpur limes, also known as a mandarin orange. These highly acidic fruits, actually orange in colour, impart a fresh, zesty zing to this refreshing gin. Roll on summer!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Lots of zest on the nose, fresh citrus peel and just-cut botanicals.

Palate: Not as sharp and citric as the nose suggests, instead offering a pleasantly balanced gin flavour that's instantly recognisable as Tanqueray.

Finish: Smooth yet dry and lemony.

Overall: In a word, refreshing! The perfect gin for a G&T on the lawn.

Tanqueray Rangpur Reviews

Yumm!

I concur with many others here. I am not a fan of Tanqueray in general, but this is wonderful with tonic water.

Excellent

I am drinking this gin for the first time on a cold night in New England (U.S.) before the New Year, and I think it is delightful.

Try It - You Won't Be Disappointed

My husband bought this as a gift for me and I have to admit I was underwhelmed when I saw it was from the Tanqueray range. However, I have to say that his is one of the best gins I've tasted for some time (and I've tried many). It has a slight, almost undetectable bitterness, but is so delicious, and is now up there with my favourite gins.

A really good gin

With Fevertree Indian tonic, this gin really comes to life... not artificial just real gin but with note of hard to define flavours. general gin bouquet, pleasing, overall I really like this well price gin.

Great gateway gin

Back when I was just learning about gin, I discovered Rangpur – and loved it! It also taught me to love the martini--with its touch of orange sweetness. By now, I've learned to prefer gin proper (i.e., less sweetness, more juniper), so Rangpur has dropped a little lower on my list. But it's the gin I always use when making cocktails for people unaccustomed to the spirit-- and unfailingly, they love it!

I love it

very fresh (and refreshing), it might be the name but it makes me think of old colonial style drinks parties

One of the best

I own a large array of gins. I know sometimes Diageo gets a bad rap, but I think Rangpur is a lovely, versatile gin. I love a G&T and could drink this all day and night

Genuinely different and delicious

Served in a gin bar in Palma about a year ago and hooked ever since. Genuinely different gin but with all the gin credentials. Delicious and for a change less than £30!

I'll take this over the Ten

I love Gin, but my special purchases usually go on Single Malts, so I only tend to drink the more widely available Gins others buy with the exception of a few artisan Gins I've had in top bars.
Of all the Gin I've tried this and Hendricks are my favourites.
I'll take this over the "Ten" any day of the week, especially considering the price difference. Drink it neat if you like but a strong G&T is my favourite way to take it. To me this has an interesting and unique taste and I would struggle to choose between this and Hendricks as my number 1.

Easily loveable

This gin has been amongst my favourite Gin's for some time now. It's elegant, yet tastefull. It has a superb freshness to it- dry, suttle spices, fresh lime peel and hints of citric acid. It is easily drinkable; make your faavorite Gin fiz or G&T and chill out in the sun. I think this one i more interesting that the "Ten" and more elegant than the traditional Tangeray.
