Alamedapocalypse Gin TBGC

When the world is threatened by muscular shark-people armed with laser cannons, you can count on the chaps from St. George Spirits in California to...

1) Fight back using karate and cowbells.

2) Provide a smashing gin for you to enjoy as you watch the battle.

In fact, they've already created Alamedapocalypse Gin with That Boutique-y Gin Company, meaning you can be well prepared for that fateful day when sharks grow legs and try to take over the planet with their futuristic weaponry, razor-sharp teeth and cut-off jeans. It's just a matter of time.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fresh, delicate alfresco notes lead this beautifully balanced nose. Pine and earthy mulch are complemented by dill drenched in thyme honey, orange oil and palm syrup. A anise and a touch of marzipan icing are present underneath.

Palate Very thick and syrupy, perfumed floral notes of hibiscus, lavender, star anise and cardamom seeds come through first. There’s a fruity sweetness from honeyberries, candied peels and a little coconut, while deep juniper, more stone pine, salicornia tea and a touch of quinine form the backdrop.

Finish In an incredibly tender, refined finish – a delicate sweetness lingers.

Overall A veritable garden of a gin, this is a sensation for the senses and the perfect way to liven your Martini.

Reviews for Alamedapocalypse Gin - St. George Spirits (That Boutique-y Gin Company)
Pleasant, fresh & apocalyptically appropriate
I confess that although an apocalypse gin seems strangely appropriate in current times, I was a little put off by the label / marketing. After all, a decent product doesn’t usually need a sci-fi backstory to sell it. However, I caught it on offer & decided it was worth a go. The bottle isn’t anything special but it has a cork & frankly who cares what the bottle looks like if the gin’s good... and it is. Fresh, clean, quite grassy with citrus & pine. The juniper’s clear and there’s a nice quinine hit too. Pleasant & refreshing with Indian tonic water.
