Pickering's Gin is distilled in Edinburgh using a recipe found on a piece of paper which was written in 1947. After finely-tuning the ingredients, featuring botanicals like Juniper, Lemon, Lime, Coriander, Anise, Angelica, Cardamom, Clove and Fennel, the folks at the Summerhall Distillery started putting together their refreshing gin using a 500-litre copper still, charmingly named Gert.
Up-front juniper notes, with subtle spicy, herbal notes and fresh citrus.
Once again, the juniper is in the front, supported once more by lively citrus, though on the palate, this is joined by subtle nutty notes and hints of sweet anise.
A crisp, full-flavoured, herbal finish.
Good on ya, Gert and the rest of the Summerhall team! Keep up the good work!
Just bought a bottle of island gin 50ml and a splash of Lemonade deeeeelicious. Well done guys and girl. Going to try another from same range tomorrow
A faultless gin. Nothing overpowering, just good honest gin. Fab with grapefruit or just lime
The best gin I have had in a long while. Great with some tonic and grapefruit
Pound for pound the best gin on the market. A gin and tonic with Pickering's gin really hits the spot - very characterful and flavoursome with a good bite of spice.
Now this is a nice refreshing slightly spicy Gin - I would say honest and tasty. A nice Scottish Gin . Will try another from here!
