Monkey 47 Distiller's '18 Bottling Note

It's that time of year again, when the folks behind Monkey 47 Gin get all experimental and come up with a brand new Distiller's Cut expression! For the 2018 release, they've added red mustard cress to the mix of 47 botanicals. This particular ingredient is grown 33 metres below the streets of London by botanists specialising in microleaves environmentally-friendly cultivation at the core of their project. The red mustard cress was macerated with the rest of the Monkey 47 botanical recipe, then distilled again and allowed to rest in earthenware containers for three months before bottling.

Like it. As always.

I must say that my tastebuds didn't let me down this time. I rated the Barrel Cut with half a star because it really wasn't my thing. But this one, this one is amazing. (like the other Distiller Cuts) Yes, it contains alot of different botanicals, but the special ingredient in this edition... you do taste it.
