Molotov London Dry Gin Bottling Note

Molotov London Dry Gin comes to us all the way from Yorkshire, made with a delicious medley of botanicals, including juniper, orange, fresh grapefruit, nutmeg, lemongrass, fennel seed, ginger, lime leaves, coriander, angelica, red peppercorn and wormwood. The producers were looking for a botanical recipe that would be a taste explosion in cocktails and mixed drinks - hence the name.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Juniper is powerful at the fore, bolstered by the peppercorn and coriander. Juicy citrus gives it sweetness, while fennel seed adds some intense herbaceous elements.

Molotov London Dry Gin Reviews

Like a vodka but more expensive

Had to send this back lady night having ordered it. Tasteless.

6th September 2019

Easy to drink

I came across this gin at The Angel in Hetton over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I had to buy a bottle o)

14th August 2019

Better value elsewhere

Really hoped for better considering the price.

5th August 2019

Very smooth on the pallet with a unique taste

Amazing Gin fabulous, a great flavour from anything else I’ve tried, it’s just the best

25th July 2019

An average drink

Very disappointing

12th March 2019

My favourite gin!

Best gin at Harrogate gin festival

9th March 2019

Poor value

Quite a few people suggest its not worth the money and sadly i now agree with them.

2nd March 2019

Delicious

I absolutely loved this Gin. Tastes amazing with grapefruit.

1st March 2019

Donated to stronger tastebuds

Not very nice I’m afraid. I’ve tried it in every cocktail I usually like and I’ve ended up giving it to my husband.

9th February 2019

Something doesnt add up

This has had so many reviews good and bad but i have to say the comments are true. This is smooth but does have a basic taste. Nothing special about this gin at all, hence the low review rating.

14th January 2019

Weird tasting

It just doesn't taste right to me. It's like some sort of herby vodka-gin.

12th January 2019

To Smooth and easily lost

I had the pleasure of attending The Gin To My Tonic in Harrogate and put this on my shopping list for xmas as it was so smooth neat. However it was to smooth, easily lost with a tonic.

10th January 2019

Not great

Not massively keen on this. Anyone who can drink it neat must have an asbestos mouth, because it burns like hell

8th January 2019

A favourite for me

I’ve only been a gin drinker for a short while and saw this gin for the first time at the Harrogate Gin show. There are very few gins I can drink neat but this is one. I will be back for more.

8th January 2019

Great Depth of Flavour

Me and my girlfriend enjoyed a bottle of this gin over Christmas and I have to say it is a really easy gin to drink and you can still taste it through the tonic unlike a lot other gins out there.

7th January 2019

A true London Dry Gin

I can’t relate to the recent comments about this gin and it seems a little odd that they have followed each other? I first came across this gin in Harrogate and we all have different tastes but to even class this gin as not smooth, you have to question the author! For me it’s a definite winner and I would definitely recommend.

7th January 2019

An original botanical blend through and through

It’s interesting to read some of the more recent comments which clearly have a theme. As for this gin being a ‘white label’ product, it couldn’t be further from the truth and if you want confirmation of that I would suggest you contact them directly. Disappointing to see site like this being used for such a purpose

7th January 2019

Too expensive for an ordinary gin

Drinkable but really only on a level of a very basic gin, so not worth the price being charged here.

7th January 2019

Give me my tastebuds back!!

Tried this in the absence of Gordons. Mistake!!
Insipid is the kindest description I can think of. Totally devoid of flavour, in fact it could be sold as vodka without contravening trade description laws.

Certainly never again!

4th January 2019

A bit Overpriced but Ok

My 6th purchase from MoM guided from earlier positive reviews of this gin. I’m not blown away, but it is drinkable. It’s not the best on the market for a London Dry, but a twist of Lemon and it’s Ok.

4th January 2019

Not great with berry based cocktails

Citrus nose, but an unpleasant after taste. I find it actually clashes badly with berry based cocktails. I find myself hiding it under the bar because the label looks cheap - but that’s just my opinion

4th January 2019

Burns like a Russia Molotov Cocktail!

Far to harsh for anyones taste buds. Burns and isn't smooth.

3rd January 2019

Worst Christmas present ever!

Received a bottle of this for Christmas and it actually was dreadful. No smoothness and burnt on the way down.
I looked into this company and their isn't much information about them. This leads me to think other reviewers are right that it's a white labelled product. Advice is treat yourself to another gin. For this price you can get an amazing aged gin from an company that takes care in the distilling process.
Thank-you for the present Santa but next time i'll take the cash.

2nd January 2019

Don't believe the 5 star reviews.

Decided to look beyond the cheap branding of this gin based on all the rave reviews in short period of time (every review 5 stars!). Took the plunge and was hugely disappointing, wasn't smooth at all like other similarly priced gins, quite aggressive taste and not worth the money. Since noted someone has said its a white label product, this makes more sense now.

1st January 2019

Don't believe all the 5 star reviews.

Don't believe all the 5 star reviews.

Was intrigued by this gin, despite its cheap branding it had amazing reviews, so was on my list to try. Disappointingly though its another 'print your own label' product and certainly not even worth a fraction of what I paid.

1st January 2019

Another nasty white label product

Disgusting white label product, I've actually had people return this drink.

30th December 2018

Classic London Dry

Awesome gin, perfect with a slice of grapefruit. A proper classic London dry, up there with the best I have ever tasted.

6th December 2018

A must try!!

Superb and deliciously smooth. Lovely with a mixer but I'm just loving my Molotov over ice.
I 'found' this local gin at a festival in Harrogate, had a couple of little samples and decided that out of all gins available, this was the one to buy and take home. Well recommended.

2nd December 2018

Simply Stunning...

Molotov Gin is a beautifully smooth drinking gin either with the traditional tonic or on its own with ice. The juniper and coriander come through beautifully on both the pallet and aroma making it a really enjoyable tipple, top marks all round...

28th November 2018

The perfect gin

A superb gin to so sip and the perfect gin with a mixer. U can’t go wrong with it. Will be ordering more and would recommend to anyone

23rd November 2018

One to try just over ice!

This is lovely gin, either traditionally with ice and a slice or I personally love it on its own over ice. Tops marks!

23rd November 2018

Great London Dry perfect as a Gin or in Cocktails

Great London Dry style Gin, I'm already on my second bottle. Perfect as a Martini and holds it's own in Cocktails. Taste Notes:

Nose: Sweet notes from the juniper, develops to spice with light bitter orange citrus notes
Palate: Smooth flavour, juniper forward flavour blends to sweet angelica/lemongrass, then fennel/coriander spice notes
Finish: tingling peppercorn aftertones, subtle herb notes from lime leaves

Adding an ice cube ignited the spice flavour and opens up the gin.

Serve: Add grapefruit segments and peel plus pink peppercorn and a small amount of rosemary, this brings the citrus forward, slight hint of sweet pepper blends with the spice notes, and rosemary adds herby notes with the lime leaves

23rd November 2018

Spot on

Awesome gin!

23rd November 2018

Exceptional gin with an intense flavour

I am an avid gin drinker and have tried many different types. This gin is exceptional. I have added juniper berries and rosemary for a great cocktail.

23rd November 2018

Lovely Drop

Such a nice smooth Gin, really enjoyed it and will stick with this fresh tasting tipple!! Thank you

23rd November 2018

Fresh, new, yet classic and classy. 5 stars.

Awesome. Without doubt my new favourite ! Beautiful refined classic taste. Bravo.

23rd November 2018

So smooth

Loving this gin! So many elements tonic, meaning you can drink it neat over ice or pair up with so many combinations.

22nd November 2018

WOW.

WOW. Such a beautifully smooth gin with a fantastic taste from all the botanicals. In fact, myself and my friends enjoyed it so much that the bottle was empty by 10pm!!! Can't recommend this gin enough, my favourite combination is with grapefruit peel and cinnamon stick with a slimline tonic! It's definitely on my christmas list!

22nd November 2018

Would totally recommend Molotov 🍸

A friend of mine introduced me to this gin at a party and I’m not normally a lover of gin but this was great and I’m now converted🍸xx

21st November 2018

Love this gin!

Absolutely love this gin, the combination of botanicals are really tasty. You can drink it with tonic, in a cocktail or even on its own. I’d highly recommend

21st November 2018

Firm favourite

Beautiful smooth gin. Paired with pink grapefruit and Mediterranean fever tree tonic is a particular favourite in our household. Yummy!!!!

20th November 2018

Love this Gin!

Ok i love this Gin! I first tried it this Summer and served it (at their recommendation) with red grapefruit peel and black peppercorns (I didnt have red!) as well as a bit of rosemary for good measure (my particular preference not theirs). It is a superb and complex Gin and i'm thrilled to be able to get it quickly on here - good choice!

20th November 2018

Best sip per pound in my book

One of my favourite gins and probably one of the first you can actually taste through any tonic, this is the Stuff that will keep gin on the map

20th November 2018

Lovely mix of botanicals

Came across this gin in a bar in Harrogate and simply loved it.

20th November 2018

Smooth tasting and perfectly blended botanicals.

There is a lovely smooth flavour to this gin, you can really enjoy the taste of it through the tonic. I tried it with a slice of orange and cinnamon bark (tip from the makers) and it was exceptional. The botanicals are beautifully put together. Love it!

20th November 2018

A bit too quafable!

Nice spicy gin. Very popular with my customers. Nice with pomegranate and basil tonic.
