McQueen Signature Dry Gin Bottling Note
An addition to the McQueen introduced in later 2016 - their Signature Dry Gin. While their other expressions focus on particularly interesting flavours (including Smokey Chilli Gin and Chocolate Mint Gin), this one features a more traditional flavour profile with up-front juniper and citrus. Produced all the way up in Scotland.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Through a clean and distinct forest floor aroma, there are notes of iris petals and lemon sherbet. Full-bodied juniper forms the backdrop with rich vanilla.
Palate: Crisp lime emerges with light prickles of fragrant cassia. Gentle juniper is present throughout with more vanilla.
Finish: Fresh, leafy coriander lingers.
Overall: An earthy gin with plenty of refreshing citrus elements that’s brilliant in a Martini.

Superb
Bought this Gin as it was on offer, as an extra bottle purchase. It is fantastic! We generally have our GnT with a strong dose of lime, and this is the perfect base Gin. Even on its own it is lovely, but as as a base for a gnt it is superb 🙌🏻

Dryness is perfect for me
I tried this local gin on a recent visit to Callender- it’s the best gin I’ve tasted for a long time. Very happy 😊

A House Favourite For Me
I absolutely LOVE McQueen's Dry Gin. My husband bought me a bottle of this for my birthday one year and it's been a regular addition to my collection since. I haven't tried the flavoured varieties but this one is my personal favourite and whenever I see it on the shelf in a shop I grab it quickly. I live in Aberdeenshire and was able to get it via our local John Lewis but it's getting harder to find in my local whisky shops and those in other areas as well. The hint of honeyed vanilla adds a bit of something special but is NOT overpowering or intense, just takes the slightest of edges off of harshness found in spirits. I do not drink sweet cocktails so trust me when I say the taste notes are very slight and refined. Goes well with Cushiedoo tonic and Walter Gregor's too. I personally really love it. With it's very, very pale hint of caramel colour it's a nice gin for autumn/winter but enoyable any time of year. Can't say enough good things.

Too much vanilla
There is far too much vanilla in this gin to give it a clean and refreshing taste, ends up being a bit cloying, a big disappointment.
