A gin with a sense of place, being made with Isle of Wight rock samphire and Boadicea hops alongside juniper, coriander seeds, fresh lemon zest, grains of paradise, angelica, liquorice, orris and elderflower.
Earthy sweetness and some citrus zing with a touch of sea air and warming pepper.

Got a hint of coriander, sub par gin not worth the money.

Tried mermaids Gin in the absence of Gordons in my local supermarket. Mistake!! Insipid is the kindest description I can think of. Totally devoid of flavour, in fact it could be sold as vodka without contravening trade description laws. Certainly never again!

I find with all these new gins on the market it’s good to try what’s available see which is a must for the cabinet which is a miss. Sadly this was a miss not a high standard gin at all by any means.

Massively overrated, and overpriced. The botanicals are almost absent in the mouth (and only fleetingly present on the nose). This tastes like a mass produced vodka that has been left to sit near some juniper berries. Yet another modern gin, which is all style over substance. I very much enjoy some of the modern styles of gin, but this is not one of them. Save your money and buy a good gin, or alternatively buy some ethanol and a (very) few juniper berries and dilute with 60-70% water to achieve the same result as this apology for gin.

We live in Asia and sample a hell of a lot of gins and this one has to be the worst we have had. Do not buy this to drink in an gin and tonic or you will be disappointed. It's bearable if you mask it (no cvid19 pun intended!) with something else. Eg.... Lemonade. And as a gin drinker I can't believe I'm actually saying that. If you love astringent drinks you may well enjoy it.

I love the bottle and label design. I also think you’re less likely to get a hangover from this than a cheaper offering. However, on first drink this tasted more like vodka to me. I didn’t find it to be super flavorful. Maybe I wanted more juniper.

I really can't decide which botanical gives this an animal taste, most unpleasant. I can't agree that it is a 'proper gin'.

Maybe a bad batch but this left a foul taste in my mouth

Loved this gin. Have been drinking gin for 50 years. This is like breath of fresh air lovely herbal accents. Im not looking anywhere else now. The bottle is a bonus.

Really surprised by the negative reviews. This has gone straight into my top 5 gins. Makes a mean Gibson where you can really taste the botanicals. Will definitely buy again.
