This superbly crisp, aromatic cucumber-flavoured gin was launched by Gordon's in 2013. It is based on Gordon's classic London Dry Gin and is flavoured naturally with cucumber. The result is something akin to Hendrick's gin, and it works very well in Gin and Tonics!
Nose: Sweet in places, with fresh vanilla and dried grass. A little berry fruit, freshly sliced cucumber.
Palate: Earthy, oily juniper at the core, with refreshing notes of fresh cucumber and spice. Very crisp with a hint of citrus.
Finish: Dry, earthy finish. Green and crisp. A little short.
Overall: Very fresh-tasting indeed.

clean, crisp & fresh... & cheapEasy to drink in the garden in summer after cutting the grass... (unfortunately its winter & my grass is a mud-pit!)Don't be put off by other snobby reviewers!p.s. I also am a fan of Jimmy Hendrix...

This is fine in a G&T, a nice change from the usual suspects. not my go-to gin though. But @ the price, mind you I found it for 10£ in a local store, it is a winner. But anyday a Geranium for sipping over ice. CM

I agree with above review, just remember that the Gordons has 10% less alcohol,i only buy Hendrix when it is on special offer in the supermarket at £20.

I have been a big fan of Hendrix for the last couple of years, however the price is definitely prohibitive when it comes to home mixing. When I saw this behind the bar at my local, I thought I would give it a try, if only to see if it does indeed hold a candle to Hendrix. As I sip it (double over ice with slimline tonic AND importantly, 2 slices of cucumber) I must say, I am pleasantly surprised. I will most likely stick to Hendrix when out and about, I will definitely make the switch to this lower cost option for my summer home mixing. -Barn
