Gilt Gin is made by the same Scottish company which makes the famous Valt Vodka. It's based on single malt spirit, which is distilled five times from nothing but malted barley.
Earthy juniper, allspice, creamy vanilla and cereal sweetness. Hints of dried herbs and tangy fruit.
Oily, earthy palate with dry berry fruit to the fore. Hints of toffee, digestive biscuits, citrus zest, aniseed and coriander seed.
Orange on the finish, with mixed spices.
A creamy, rich Scottish gin.
I love this Gin. Yes it does have a slight background taste that reminds you of Whisky which is probably why I like it but its subtle. So many gins promise so much but are very bland on taste this one has it's own unique taste. I'm not a fan of your standard gin's but prefer small batch craft gins. Not sure where this one lies re production but like the craft gins has it's own unique taste at an affordable price
Tastes of whiskey !
the format flavor is licorice with other herbs in background. I get not juniper at all. A nice alternative for a change of pace. I looking forward to tasting their vodka.
Sorry everyone, in our blind gin tastings we use this one as the extreme and weird gin. This is almost universally hated by all my friends - I only know one person that likes it. Personal taste I guess, but this is a marmite gin
First sip was so not like your Gordon's ,Beefeater or Bombay Saphire. A taste I'm "learning" to enjoy
