Ghost Gin

Here we have Ghost Gin, a rather eerie-looking black gin! Certainly not something you see every day. Among the botanicals are angelica root, citrus peel, liquorice root and of course juniper. Despite the colour, everything else about the tipple is pretty traditional. Just imagine the spooky cocktails you could make with this one...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Peppery, piney juniper as well as black pepper spice, livened up by a sweeter hint of citrus peel and a somewhat creamy finish.

Subtle flavours
This is one of my favourite brews. Bought it as a selection of 5 very differing flavours. Of the 5 it's right up there. Citrus is prominent and does smell mildly of liquorice. It's subtle.
Puzzled by the lack of flavour comment. Will definitely buy again.

Boring and flat
Disappointed with this gin, bland with no aftertaste.

I like it!! Citrusy and can taste hints if liquorice! Certainly not tasteless. If you like the sickly flavoured gins this won’t be for you!

Not tasteless
Interesting gin, great for the cocktails with the added benefit of colour. Hubby said it reminded him of a rum though.

A very poor Doppelgänger
I accidentally bought this thinking it was a black gin I tired in a bar in Newcastle. I have since found out it’s called Voodoo Brew black magic. Please don’t make the same mistake as me. This one was revolting and the one I had in Newcastle was delightful.

One for the collection!
Certainly not flavourless! I get the liquorice, pepper and citrus; not the angelica. But what do I know? What I do know is I love this gin.

An interesting colour but that is all it has going for it. Virtually no smell and pretty tasteless. Don't waste your money on this gin!

Very cool bottle, label and it looks amazing when you pour it. Taste is very disappointing, weak and watery with a strange aftertaste. Not worth the money.
