Filliers Dry Gin 28 Bottling Note
Originally created in 1928 by Firmin Filliers, Filliers Dry Gin 28 also uses 28 botanicals in addition to juniper. It is a small batch gin created in copper stills.
The Filliers family had been producing jenever, gin's ancestor, in Belgium since the 19th century and adding gin to their repertoire was perhaps the next logical step. Today, their gin is still made with a secret blend of citrus fruits, herbs and roots.

Nose: Lemon and orange peel support the juniper. Hint of cardamom and fresh coriander.
Palate: More citrus alongside the central juniper, slightly creamy, drying.
Finish: Warming and dry.

You could drink it neat
This is a wonderful gin, so fragrant that I sometimes take the stopper out and just sniff to get the aroma. Wonderful! It seems a shame to pollute it with tonic water - try it with ice and a bit of water.

Smooth but spicy
Very impressive effort - incredibly classy, classic dry gin.
The bottle is a work of art, too.

Imagine a fluffy cat, lazy and comfy on your couch.
Worth every star. I'd give a full 10 if not for the price.
Smooth taste and combined with the right tonic (I use 1724) can be a definite winner if you're trying to impress your friends.
A must in every bar.

Worth a trip to Belgium
I am just sampling my first (actually, my second...) G&T made will Filliers, having bought myself an early Christmas present. Definitely worth the trip to Belgium for this subtle, elegant gin that has a delicate flavour. A definite find.
