Dornoch Experimental Batch Gin No.1

Dornoch Experimental #1 Bottling Note

The first gin from Dornoch's Experimental Batches! Philip and Simon Thompson make their gin from scratch (no bought-in neutral grain spirit whatsoever) at the positively tiny Dornoch distillery in the Scottish town that shares its name. Batch #1 is made using organic floor malted Odyssey barley and their core selection of botanicals - Juniper, Angelica Root, Cardamon Seed, Aniseed, Orange Peel, Lime Peel, Coriander Seeds, Meadowsweet, Pine Needles and Orris Root. Goes very well in a G&T.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Minty and grassy notes develop from the meadowsweet, paired with juicy orange and creamy malt.

Palate: Light and elegant mouthfeel. Sweet liquorice, crushed cardamom seed and toasted marshmallow.

Finish: Oily juniper and well-rounded angelica notes, with anise continuing long on the finish.
