Bristol Dry Gin Docker's Bottling Note

Produced in a micro-distillery underneath a hotel in Bristol, this high-ABV gin ought to be very useful when making cocktails and mixed drinks. A combination of 10 botanicals make the core of this expression, including cassia, elderflower, lemon zest cubeb and more. Enjoy as you think about how cool the Clifton Suspension Bridge is.

As you may be aware, Bristol Gin has been in the news recently for after posting an advert on social media that referenced a Donald Trump tweet about "shooting and looting". Many people found this offensive. You can read more about the incident, and our response to it, here.

Bristol Dry Gin Docker's Strength Reviews

Super Gin

This is now the favourite gin of the wife, and I tend to agree. Strong and full flavoured.

Just don't

Unbelievably bad gin. I literally don't understand how they have made it taste so bad.

Stunning

Another award laden gin from these unconventional distillers. A lot more peppery than the 40% , but I'm a good way, which makes it stunning with tonic in a balloon glass

Grim

Nasty, sour and tasteless, but somehow still leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Outstanding Gin

I recently did the Bristol Gin evening gin tasting in their cellar together with a couple of friends. On arrival before the tasting we were all presented with a substantial gin and tonic with this 55% gin in a sizeable balloon glass. Best G&T I can remember. Stunning. Served with one of the top speciality tonics (regret I cannot remember which one), a slice of lemon, a slice of grapefruit, a few gently crushed juniper berries and ice. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Brought a bottle back to Hong Kong with me. This gin rocks. But, as with so many gins, it totally depends on the taster’s preferences for the botanicals. What is fab for me may be yuk for you. Nevertheless, I would heartily recommend giving this splendid gin a whirl.
