Bakewell Gin

Bakewell Gin is an aromatic craft gin distilled in a small copper pot still at a humble family-run distillery in the peak district. Just six botanicals were infused in this gin in total, with the inevitable cherry and almond and classic notes of juniper supplemented by additions of cardamom, cubeb pepper and hibiscus flowers. When serving, I defy you not to use a cherry to garnish.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

A spicy and floral opening keep things interesting, before the awaited ground almonds and cherry jam reveal. There's a touch of custard in there too.

Extremely artificial flavour
Sweet, ridiculous artificial flavour. Not the gin I was expecting. I have had cherry bakewell gin and this is not the one I was looking for!

Confected, artificial and not from Bakewell
Not from anywhere near Bakewell - misleading advertising.
Very sweet, artificial flavour - a real shame as we had expected more.

Very sweet
Ok now and again but far too sweet for me. Can definitely taste the cherry. Nice as an after dinner drink.

Not from Bakewell!
Not made in the Peak District at all, it's made in London by Thames Distillery...false advertising!

Interesting and enjoyable
Like it, really unusual, the bar garnished it with cinnamon, which is interesting but not entirely successful (tastes nice but the bark flakes tend to get into your mouth!!)
