Altitude Gin Bottling Note

Altitude Gin (Gold WWSA 2020 winner and Silver IWSC 2019 winner) takes inspiration from Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps - which was climbed by the gin's founders - and the unique character of Chamonix, the ski resort at the base of the mountain. Its recipe features a selection of mountain botanicals, including pine needle, myrtille berry and elderflower, created by the Altitude Gin team with help from Dr. David Clutton - whom has worked on No. 3 Gin, Tanqueray No. Ten, Bombay Sapphire and more. It's not simply just a tasty gin - the producers will be donating €1 of every bottle sold to Mont Blanc conservation, to help protect the mountain so that future generations can admire the awesome landscape.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Crisp and drying at first with subtly spicy juniper, though soon followed by bright fruit sweetness (think blueberry and orange). Pine freshness continues throughout.

Altitude Gin Reviews

My favourite

I'm by no means an expert but as a member of a craft gin club I've tried a fair few small batch/craft gins and so far, this is my no.1 favourite gin. I love the crisp, punchy and fresh juniper and piney flavour of this gin. But I do find half the battle with any gin is pairing it with the right tonic. Tonica tassoni is fantasic with this gin.

One of the best I've tasted

A lovely crisp, refreshing taste that goes down well with tonic and a sprig of rosemary from the garden. Love this one.

Just opened my bottle that arrived today (the girlfriend will kill me!) And I have to say it's amazing! A very crisp, moreish taste that makes you go back for another, and another... will definitely keep a bottle in the cabinet!

A truly excellent gin!

I've just opened the bottle of Altitude I was given for Christmas and I must tell you that I enjoyed one of the nicest G&Ts I've ever had. It had a delicious flavour, crisp and dry, and I shall now definitely be ordering a case, so that I can impress my friends this year. I thoroughly recommend this unique gin - lovely!

An absolute winner!

I bought Altitude for my son's birthday who is a keen snowboarder and loves the Alps. We celebrated last weekend with g&ts - what a delightful drop this is! The whole party raved about it - I will definitely be buying this again!

Fresh and fruity and way too easy to drink.

A really great gin, we've a vast collection and will definitely adding this on to our drinks menu. I served it with lime, blueberries and rosemary which really brought out the myrtille berry in the flavour. It was a big hit with friends for our gin tasting event and looked very stylish too.

A uniquely Alpine gin

This is a really refreshing gin, with a clean taste that is uniquely Alpine. As soon as you open the bottle you can smell that the herbs and aromatics used are different to the norm, and give the gin a hint of the famous Alpine Génépi aperitif flavour. I can recommend pairing it with FeverTree Cucumber Tonic and a wedge of lime for a light, clean flavoured yet richly aromatic G&T.

A stand-out gin - scales new heights!

I didn't think I could tell the differences between gin but Altitude really stands out and now I am a complete convert. Keep up the great work!

Proud of this Chamonix Gin

I love the fact that I can drink a French Gin from my home town! It makes each of my G&T very special. I also really like the taste which is different from any other gins.

Fresh, tasty, balanced - and 100 times better than any gin us Italian would be able to produce!

A home essential!!

A delicious crisp gin which makes a gloriously refreshing G&T and fabulous cocktails. Will want to always have a bottle in my cupboard.

It does exactly what it says on the tin!

This is an excellent clean fresh gin! It’s exactly what you’d expect from a gin so named. For me best served with a lot of ice and chilled lime enhanced tonic.

Well priced, delicious, clean and moorish !

I recently bought a bottle of Altitude and was really impressed. It is probably one of the best G&T s I have ever had. A clean lovely taste which speaks for itself. I added a decent tonic and just ice and it was excellent... also tried with lemon and lime.

A gin that made our G&T reach new heights!

This gin took me to new and unimaginable heights! A wonderful blend of flavours topped off with Fever Tree meant our first experience of this refreshingly new gin brand was top class. Our bottle didn’t last long for all the right reasons! Thoroughly recommended!!

Finally, a gin that stands out amongst the thousands of others!

I first tasted this incredible gin back in June and I can honestly say I have had none better. It is aromatic, fresh and head and shoulders above other gins. Highly recommended.
