Three Barrels

With a long-standing family heritage based in South West France, the history of Three Barrels dates back to 1814, when it was originally founded by Raynal & Cie as the Pinet Casillion company. The brandy was marketed in the United Kingdom as ‘Three Barrels Brandy’ from 1947 and as Rayna everywhere else.

The brand has always been marketed with the logo of three stacked barrels, which was apparently the number of barrels that could be stacked on a sledge pulled by huskies in Canada. Another interpretation is that the three barrels symbolise the balance of eaux de vie, traditionally sourced from the three renowned French wine regions of Burgundy, Bordeaux Champagne. We like both.
