Ron Barceló is a premium rum from the Dominican Republic. The company was founded in 1929 by a Spaniard Julián Barceló. Despite its long history, the brand only began exporting in the 1990s. Since then, Ron Barceló has become one of the biggest rum brands in the world. It’s made not from molasses, like most rum, but from 100% sugarcane juice that comes from the company’s own plantations in San Pedro de Macorís, and fermented, distilled, and aged in the Dominican Republic. So these are single estate rums. The company produces a range from unaged white rums to long-aged limited edition Imperial Premium Blend.
