The Portobello Road Distillery is housed in a former pub on the Portobello Road called the Portobello Star. It now consists of a cocktail bar downstairs and upstairs there’s the distillery and the Ginstitute where you can learn how to make gin. The distillery was founded in 2011 by three friends Ged Feltham, Jake Burger & Paul Lane and uses a Copernicus II 30 litre alembic copper pot still. The classic bottling is a London Dry Gin named Portobello Road No. 171 after the distillery’s address. There are also other expressions including a vodka, a peach and a butter gin.
