The Moor Beer Company’s roots lie in Somerset, where the brewery was founded in 1996 in a former dairy farm. Their tasty brews started to take home some rather handsome awards, including CAMRA’s Winter Beer of the Year in 2004 for their Old Freddie Walker. The brewery temporarily contracted out of brewing in the 2007s, but was given new life when Justin and Maryann Hawke took over the company.
The brewery has stayed in the South West, but has since moved to Bristol and expanded their capabilities. Known for using top-quality ingredients and not filtering their brews, Moor Beer Company produces some deliciously tasty beers, with the Revival (a “trans-Atlantic pale ale”) being one of their most well known.
