Mezcal Vago

Mezcal Vago is a wonderful tale of adventure and discovery. The founder, Judah Emanuel Kuper, and his friend Dylan were touring Oaxaca, trying to discover the real cultures and traditions of the area, when they stumbled on a celebration in the streets. Swept up in the commotion, the pair were handed a jerry can and encouraged to "Drink! Drink! Drink!". They were delighted to discover that they were not drinking petrol, but some of the most wonderful Mezcal they'd ever experienced. They fell in love not only with the area and the Mezcal but on an unplanned trip to the hospital Judah also fell in love with the nurse that attended him. Judah was delighted to learn that his future father in law and much of the extended family were "mezcaleros" - local mezcal producers, who had produced some of the beautiful mezcal he had sampled at the celebration. Judah went on to create the Mezcal Vego brand to bring this wonderful mezcal to the rest of the world. The four mezcaleros that make the Mezcal Vago brand are Aquilino García López (Judah's now father in law), “Tío Rey” (Uncle Rey), Emigdio Jarquin Ramrez and Joel Barriga.
