Martini

Martini & Rossi. Maybe you’ve heard of them.

The Martini & Rossi company is named after businessman Alessandro Martini and distiller Luigi Rossi, though it wasn’t always. The company was previously known as Martini, Sola & Cia from 1863 until 1879 - the name was changed when their third partner, accountant Teofilo Sola, died. Over the years, Martini & Rossi has produced and owned a wide variety of products, from wine to gin, vodka to fernet, but they are arguably most famous for their selection of vermouth. In 1993, the company merged with Bacardi, creating the Bacardi Martini Group.
