Back in 1923, a chap by the name of Jacob Hofland started his venture in the spirits business, and it was a rather worthwhile venture indeed. Inspired by the American marketing model, Hofland took off, becoming one of the first successful entrepreneurs after the second world war. The success continued for Hofland, with more drinks being developed and eventually a three storey production plant being built. The company continues today, producing gin and jenever, with the Hofland London Dry Gin taking home a Silver Medal at the San Francisco Wine & Spirits Competition.
