Contratto

Contratto started in Canelli, Piedmont, Italy, in 1867. It's known for vermouths and bitters. Giuseppe Contratto founded it. It's one of Italy's oldest sparkling wine producers. Their vermouths use many botanicals, especially wormwood. This is key in traditional Italian vermouth. They make Bianco, Rosso, and Extra Dry vermouths. These are popular in cocktails for their structured taste.

Contratto also makes bitters. Fernet Contratto is well-known. It has 33 botanicals and is aged for at least 12 months in French oak barrels. It's used in both classic and new cocktails.

The brand keeps its historical methods. Its original recipe book guides production. The Rivetti family bought Contratto in 2011. They also own La Spinetta wine estate. Under them, Contratto has grown. It now offers sparkling wines, vermouths, and bitters. These are sold worldwide. They keep the Italian tradition while meeting modern tastes and demands.
