The Casamigos tequila brand was created by long-time friends George Clooney and Rande Gerber, as well as Discovery Land Company founder Mike Meldman. It was originally made just for them to enjoy as their own house tequila, one that they could sip and savour with friends and family. But in January 2013, they released it to the public! The Casamigos range includes a Blanco, Reposado and an Añejo expression.
Rande Gerber previously worked with Destilería Serrallés to release Caliche Rum and has over 20 years in the bar industry, opening The Whiskey in South Beach in 1991. And yes, we do mean that George Clooney. The Batman & Robin, Ocean’s Eleven, Gravity, always-getting-his-Nespresso-coffee-stolen-in-the-adverts George Clooney.
