The Bristol Distilling Co. was founded by Jake Black in 2017. There was a previous Bristol Distilling Co which was open from 1863 but was destroyed by a German bomb in 1940. Therefore the number 77 is very important to the new version of The Bristol Distilling Co. which appears in the names of its products. In 2018 the first bottle of London Dry Gin came off its 500 litre copper pot still built in Lincoln, Nebraska. The company now produces a range of spirits including fruit gins, a coffee liqueur and even an American whiskey part-aged in Bristol.
