Swedish whisky contains a great many cracking malts the likes of which you won't find anywhere else. Whether this is on account of the terrain and coast-to-landmass ratio, like Spirit of Hven, produced on a tiny island between Denmark and Sweden, or because of the unusual woods used for maturation as with some of the innovative releases from Mackmyra, Sweden produces some pretty funky whiskies.
