Austrian Rum

Made in Austria, Stroh is a popular spiced rum and a brand which was created in Klagenfurt in 1832. Great when used in a variety of cocktails, such as a Jagertee or a Punch, Stroh 40 is flavoured with rich spices.

Freihof teamed up with Viennese cake-maker Sophia Stolz for this release in its Freigeist series, Inländer Rum. The limited-edition release was made with the addition of cinnamon and orange, with just 2,500 bottles produced – sporting labels designed by Stolz and all!

Stroh 80 is an intense, fiery spiced rum from Austria, made with all kinds of spice extracts and essences. It is worth trying in warming hot chocolates, or in spicy cocktails such as the Jagertee.

A 1960s bottle of high strength (and we mean it) Austrian rum, produced by Böhler. This stuff was bottled at a massive 80% ABV, presumably in the style of another popular Austrian rum... This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
