The majority of whisky from Canada is blended, often distilled from a mix of grains with a good proportion of rye. The area is also home to some fine single malt distilleries, which have been very well regarded, among these there is the Glenora distillery. Hiram Walker was a great pioneer of the Canadian whisky industry. He established the Canadian Club brand, and even built his own town in Ontario called Walkerville. Canadian Club is perhaps the most famed brand, and is a very rounded blended whisky.
