I think we have to be careful to ensure we are reviewing the XO & not the Grand Champagne XO, which are different products at different price points. The XO is a very good cognac for between $AU100-110 (for Aussie buyers, some lads at Doncaster in Melbourne will be your best bet). It has a lifted & slightly spirity nose, especially if you stick that nose too far into the glass, but lovely vanilla, caramel & orange peel if you don't. The palate follows through with creme brulee & orange, spice & lifted alcohol, as well as some woody notes. It's not harsh unless you want to hold it in your mouth to play around. Even then, it's it stuggles to get brutish.

Delightfully fruity and a gem for under £100. Take it slow and savour. Go ahead and have a treat with this stunningly warm cognac. MZB

This is the second bottle I've been lucky enough to have - smooth, good legs and exceptional a little warmer. It is a real treat and perfect for someone who is 'new' to Cognac.

This is an outsanding product for the money (the best selling argument). For more money but under £90 you have plenty of choice but this is not really better, it's why this one stands out.

Cognac is one of the very few spirits I enjoy . This is my favourite within the £140 price bracket . I have not been lucky enough (or rich enough ) to try the more expensive cognacs. This is definitely exceptionally great value for the money.

Whilst new to cognac, more of a single malt person, I tried this and you know what? It's my new favourite drink!!I bought four bottles and one of the Grande Champagne, we are part way through bottle four, whilst the Grande Champagne is hardly touched.Having tried a few above £100 cognacs, I still return to this as drink of choice.
