Camus Port Cask Finish #2 Bottling Note

The second release of Port cask finished Cognac from the cracking Camus range. This expression enjoyed maturation in lightly toasted limousin oak casks before heading into the eponymous Port casks (Tawny Port casks, since you asked) for an extra slumber. Helpings of fruity richness has made it from the casks to the Cognac, making this an excellent choice for a postprandial treat.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Jammy strawberry and blackberry notes, balanced by earthy oak and cinnamon warmth. Vanilla and a little hint of waxy peels.

Camus Port Cask Finish - Batch 2 Reviews

Not too sure

Slightly disappointed by this one. Nice touch of almonds on the nose. I can’t really pick up on the effect of the port casks but that may be me having an unsophisticated palate. Feels a bit light in body and under-aged, I have to say I prefer a Spanish brandy for less than half the price but again that may be me being a barbarian by the standards of the Cognac connoisseur.
