ABK6 Rare Cognac XO Cask Finish

With its squat shape and square shoulders, at first glance you'd think it is a craft whisky bottle but look a little closer and you'll see that it is in fact Cognac. Sacre bleu! It's enough to make Cognac traditionalists choke on their cigars. Furthermore, taking another page from the whisky book (there is actually a Whisky Book, we have a copy in the office), it's finished in special casks that formerly held XO Cognac. Only 12 casks were filled so this is a limited edition product with each bottle numbered. All the fruit comes from a single estate belonging to family firm Domaines Francis Abecassis. The result is a delicious Cognac which has taken on some of the character and complexity of the older spirit. It's good enough to make even the stuffiest of stuffed shirts forget the unconventional bottle and just enjoy the contents.
