Metaxa Grand Olympian Reserve 40 Year Old - 1980s

Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Metaxa Grand Olympian Reserve 40 Year Old - 1980s to you in United States at the moment. We're working on a solution, but until then, here are some alternatives:

Metaxa 40YO '80s Bottling Note

This is a collectible (and rather beautiful) decanter of Metaxa Grand Olympian Reserve 40 Year Old brandy, which we believe to have been made in the 1980s. We reckon this ought to be rather impressive...

Metaxa Grand Olympian Reserve 40 Year Old - 1980s Reviews

Simply stunning and astounding my favourite!

Please sell more of this Master Of Malt Pretty please. If you can get the grand fine 40 year old or even better the Grand Olympian Reserve 40 year old please put them up and I will be more than happy to snap them up. The price isn't that important to me as I don't want them to sit around gathering dust. Metaxa intended them to be drunk and as mentioned above a collector can still look at the empty bottle ! Old Metaxa's are gorgeous as they age very well and the flavour increases and just gets better......vastly better and all though the old bottles Metaxa's , the ones that are bottled aged the flavour changes and it seems to get sweeter and some very old bottle aged Metaxa's that get cloudy are ok too as long as the cork hasn't been popped they are fine to drink as long as they have been kept away from sun light , they taste different but not in a bad way, in a good way !!!. Defiantly worth 5 stars easily ! Cheers Master Of Malt and pretty please source some more MGOR 40 year old and or MGF 40 year old ???

Simply wonderful experience to behold.

Well I've just finished off this bottle and it's the best brandy I've ever had and likely ever will have again, I mean the bouquet of flavours was just dancing on my tongue it was a symposium of old classic granny Olympian Reserve but intense with old leather a tad of caramel and a load of molasses which indicates it's age as old Metaxa always develop a big molasses streak with a wonderful bouquet of botanicals like rose water as well as a tad of mustiness or foistiness and again stating it's age that this has been in a very old oaken barrel for many, many years in a cellar. Master of Malt please please please please get more Grand Olympian Reserve in, it doesn't even have to be 40 year old also the grand fine 40 year old. They are rare gems from the gods of spirits that need to be drunken not looked at on a shelf lol

Not to be look at, to be drunk !

There is no brandy I've ever tasted that has ever beaten Matxa grand Olympian Reserve 40 Y/O and grand fine 40 Y/O they are just rare little morcels from the alcohols gods ! Typicall found on whisky & alcohol auctions or come out of private collections. There is no way in hell I would ever buy an old bottle of alcohol such as whisky or brandy to sit around on a shelf as part of collection. It made to be drunk and to the collectors I say, you can still look at the empty bottle on the shelf. If someone asks you what does that taste like and you reply I dunno as I've never tasted it they are going to give you a strange look .....!
