Excellent tipple

Used to drink this in Germany during the 70s, loved it. But why change it from "Uralt" to "Original"? The old name sounds much better. It also came with a wire mesh around the bottle which gave it a classier look. Always brought a 3ltr bottle home with me on leave.

I will raise a small glass tonight to all my Army buds.

I was stationed in Darmstadt and toured the distillery. Enjoyed the variety of local specialty drinks and coffees. It is my go-to brandy.

My favorite Brandy

Brought several home after my enlistment ended at Ramstein, Germany and gave one to my Mom. When I asked her what she thought, her reply was " It's just like an angel pissing on my tongue". Need I say more.
Finally found some in a beverage store in Silverdale, WA, and at a great price, too.
Great with Coke (called a Huchen) (sp), and in tea or even coffee. Great for sipping neat on a cold winter's day or night.

I first started drinking this brandy while in Germany with the Army and I still love it even now.

Good Memories

First time I had it was in Butzbach, Germany in 1983, stationed there while in V Corps. Loved it then and still loving it now. Brings back good memories.

In class of its own

This brandy is fantastic - I usually like French ones, but Asbach shines and stands in its own class.

A n excellent brandy at a reasonable price!

Excellent brandy, smooth, flavorful with a nice finish for a 3 year-old! I first had it while stationed in the RheinPfalz district of Germany as a G.I. I fell in love with i at age 19, and sill am at 67. I stock cognacs, VSOP or better, but served "neat" Asbach is my daily drink...especially during winter, and lighter than a sturdy VSOP French.
