Smokehead High Voltage Whisky<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

The name doesn\u2019t lie. This Islay single malt comes in swinging with high-ABV power and a thumping peat presence. Described by its maker as an \u201call-out attack\u201d on the senses, it\u2019s no exaggeration. If you like your whisky with more smoke than a Slipknot gig, this one\u2019s turned up to 11.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Indie<\/p>\n

Mannochmore 13 Year Old (cask 2690) – Dr\u00e0m M\u00f2r<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Indie bottling fans, step this way. Dr\u00e0m M\u00f2r’s Mannochmore spent 13 years maturing before a first-fill tawny Port cask finish turned the dial on both colour and character. Bold red fruit, gentle spice, and a lovely oily texture. One for the sherry-heads who want something different.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABV: <\/b>53.7%.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Irish<\/p>\n

Blue Spot 7 Year Old Whiskey<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Blue Spot is a cask strength, triple-distilled single pot still Irish whiskey, matured in bourbon, sherry, and Madeira casks. Need I say more? It\u2019s got the muscular oiliness of pot still spirit and the complexity to match..<\/span><\/p>\n

ABV: <\/b>58.4%.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Top<\/p>\n

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Bourbon Whiskey<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Cask strength bourbon that struts its stuff. This is Wild Turkey turned up to full volume to create a whiskey that’s rich, bold, and packed with vanilla, cinnamon, and toasted oak. Also: great bottle. Though the turkey on the label does look slightly alarmed. Probably saw the ABV. Which is the same as Blue Spot. Did you notice? Neat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Japanese<\/p>\n

Nikka Whisky From The Barrel<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

A MoM favourite. Nikka\u2019s blend of Miyagikyo and Yoichi single malts with grain whisky, matured in a mix of casks and bottled at a beefy 51.4%. Big, balanced, and endlessly complex. A whisky with layers, depth, and impeccable style. It\u2019s like a Japanese Wes Anderson film. And don\u2019t say <\/span>Isle of Dogs<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Top<\/p>\n

Wire Works LBV Port Finish Whisky<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

English whisky with a twist of Portugal. After ageing in bourbon barrels, this lightly-peated Derbyshire dram got a juicy Port cask finish, adding jammy richness to the smoke. Polished and powerful, this one\u2019s a standout from the fast-rising Wire Works stable.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABV: <\/b>53.3%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"We<\/p>\n

Wormtub 10 Year Old – Batch 5 Whisky<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Old-school Speyside character bottled without chill-filtration, colour, or nonsense. This worm tub-distilled malt spent a decade ageing before a final stint in first-fill sherry casks. Meaty, robust, and rich, this is like your gran\u2019s best stew, if she made it in copper coils.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABV: <\/b>56.1%\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Paul<\/p>\n

Paul John Classic Select Cask Whisky<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

From the sunny shores of Goa comes this unpeated Indian single malt, matured in bourbon barrels and bottled at cask strength. Creamy, spicy, and tropical, it\u2019s a fantastic showcase of India\u2019s whisky-making chops.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABV: <\/b>55.2%.<\/span><\/p>\n

Starward Fortis Whisky<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Australia\u2019s Starward shows up with a punchy red wine cask-matured single malt that\u2019s bursting with dark fruit, spice, and oak. Bottled at 50%, it\u2019s great neat, but equally brilliant in cocktails that deserve better than supermarket blends.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Canadian<\/p>\n

Canadian Corn Whisky #1 8 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Eight-year-old Canadian corn whisky aged in oloroso sherry casks? Yes please. That Boutique-y Whisky Company delivers a silky-sweet dram that balances rich fruit and creamy vanilla with a bit of northern soul. Like maple syrup on a flannel shirt. The final boss Canuck: Lumberjack Canadian. I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m talking about anymore, either, to be honest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
