The World Whiskies Awards<\/strong> and Icons of Whisky<\/strong> returned to London with all the usual fanfare last week.<\/p>\n

It was a big night in London for both bottles and the brains behind them\u00a0and there’s a fresh batch of winners to write home about \u2013 or at least quietly covet for your drinks cabinet.<\/p>\n

At the centre of it all: GlenAllachie\u2019s 12 Year Old<\/strong><\/a>, crowned World\u2019s Best Single Malt<\/strong> for 2025. That\u2019s no small feat, and a strong showing for the Billy Walker-led distillery<\/a> continuing to punch above its weight.<\/p>\n

Holyrood Distillery<\/strong><\/a> walked off with Distiller of the Year 2025<\/strong>, capping off a rapid rise to prominence for the Edinburgh-based outfit. Over in Midleton<\/strong><\/a>, Distillery Manager of the Year<\/strong> went to Jaime Jordan from Irish Distillers \u2013 another well-deserved nod in a milestone year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was also a good year for Teeling Distillery<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as it bagged two Icons of Whiskey awards for best Marketing Team\u00a0<\/strong>and Visitor Attraction Team.<\/strong><\/p>\n
