World Whisky Day 2013 logo

The second World Whisky Day, organised by Aberdeen University student Blair Bowman, is just around the corner. A new date of Saturday 18th May has been chosen for this year’s celebrations, a date that Blair hopes one day could even become a national holiday in Scotland.

World Whisky Day however, as the name suggests, is not just limited to Blair’s home country. Over 20,000 people participated in over 200 events around the world last year, as #worldwhiskyday trended in the global top ten on twitter as well as featuring on the BBC News homepage.

Using Master of Malt’s Home Blending Kit, and our Blend Your Own Whisky service, Blair Bowman has, like last year, also created his own limited edition World Whisky Day 2013 blend using whiskies from some of Scotland’s finest distilleries.
