About The Prize…

English Whisky Company Final Signature

This limited edition set from the English Whisky Co. features a bottle of the last two Founders Private Cellar releases bearing the signature of their late Founder, James Nelstrop. One of these whiskies was aged in a rum cask from December 2006 to June 2014, while the other is a peated single malt aged in a Sherry cask from August 2007 to June 2014. The leather suitcase containing these two 70cl bottles also includes four glass tumblers, a small water jug and a book about James Nelstrop. Only 238 of these cases (worth £795) were produced, and you could get your hands on one in our draw!

Need a couple recommendations? Well, it just so happens that Andrew Nelstrop (whom we interviewed last March) and his team released a pair of rather smart-looking and scrumptious English Whisky Co. single malts late last year – The English Original and The English Smokey…

The English Original

Tasting Note for The English – Original

Nose: Zesty orange, vanilla custard, grassy malt.

Palate: Nuttier than the nose, with notes of almond and hazelnut. Milk chocolate, more orange.

Finish: Rich barley and a handful of spices.

The English Smokey

Tasting Note for The English – Smokey

Nose: Cinnamon, smoked malt and blueberry muffins.

Palate: Full-bodied smoke, paired with light notes of buttered bread and peppery barley.

Finish: Stem ginger and lingering bonfire embers.
Enjoy and good luck, folks!
