UPDATE: Congratulations to @paulreardo on Instagram, #WhiskySanta granted their wish so we’re sending them the bottle of Bruichladdich 30 Year Old, worth £1,500!

Ho-ho-ho!

It’s Super Wishin’ time! Congrats first to @SQLCadavre – they won last week’s super special pressie prize, a Scapa 34 Year Old 1988 (cask 10586) – Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail) worth £1,049.95!

Feeling lucky yourself? Then get your wishes in for this week’s Super Wish bottle: Bruichladdich 30-Year-Old – Re/Define!

Worth £1,500, this remarkable 30-year-old single malt tells the tale of the resurrection… of Bruichladdich Distillery. Gather around children, it’s story time.

You see, the distillery was mothballed in 1994 and lay silent until 2001. But whisky stocks remained in the distillery’s warehouses during its closure. Two members of staff kept them safe and inside this bottle is whisky drawn from those surviving casks. A suitably slick, sustainable bottle too I might add.

Bruichladdich 30 Year Old - Re/Define is #WhiskySanta's Super Wish which means it could be yours

Bruichladdich 30 Year Old – Re/Define is super, so make a wish!

How to wish for #WhiskySanta’s Bruichladdich 30 Year Old – Re/Define Super Wish

To get your hands on it, you’ll need to complete the following steps: combine the sultanas, raisins, currants, mixed peel, figs, and cherries in a bowl. Pour over the brandy… wait a minute. This is my Christmas pudding recipe. Good thing I didn’t give away my secret ingredient*…

To make a Super Wish, click through to the Bruichladdich 30 Year Old – Re/Define and push the big red button that says ‘Ask #WhiskySanta’. That creates a pre-populated Twitter or Facebook post. Hit ‘Publish’ and that will make your wish.

If you’re on Instagram, you can wish by tagging @masterofmalt in stories or using the #WhiskySanta hashtag and tagging @masterofmalt on grid posts.

The deadline for these Super Wishes is 23:59 GMT Thu 21 Nov and you’ll know who the winner is the very next day on Fri 22 Nov.

Alongside my Super Wishin’, I’m still doing my good ol’ regular wishin’ from now until Christmas Eve, so what are you waiting for? Sometimes you make your own luck.

*Oh, alright. It’s a spoonful of actual love, which I use my magic powers to generate. Not sure you can get that in Sainsbury’s, sorry.
