Double, double, toil and trouble… We’ve returned to provide more horrifying Halloween drink-spiration! 

This weekend is the big one and Halloween just wouldn’t be the same without spirits, would it? This week we’re showing you how you can turn each into the most terrifyingly tasty cocktail, because your costume isn’t the only thing that can impress your guests. Although, if you have a dog or a cat and dress them up, we won’t claim to compete with that. We’re not that good.

Project #173 Pumpkin Spice Rum

Project #173 Pumpkin Spice Latte

People love their pumpkin spice coffee this time of ear so obviously, we decided to use Project #173 Pumpkin Spice Rum to whip up a boozy spin on the holiday favourite.

Ingredients:

30ml Project #173 Pumpkin Spice Rum

Espresso shot

A dash of milk

Whipped cream

Freshly grated nutmeg

Cinnamon

Method:

Add 30ml Pumpkin Spice Rum, an espresso coffee, a dash of milk and a pinch of cinnamon to a glass, top with whipped cream and grated nutmeg.⁠

Kah Tequila

Mysterious Tequila

What makes the Dia de los Muertos-inspired Kah Tequila so tasty is no mystery, especially when it’s in a creamy cocktail like this. Looks a bit like something a goth Riddler would make.

Ingredients:

50ml Kah Tequila

50ml coconut milk

20ml lime juice

20ml simple syrup

Ms. Better’s Bitters Miraculous Foamer

Cinnamon

Method:

Add Kah Tequila, coconut milk, lime juice, simple syrup, and 3 drops of Ms. Better’s Bitters Miraculous Foamer into a shaker, dry shake. Add ice in the shaker and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe, garnish with cinnamon dusted through a stencil of a question mark.

Fallen Angel Blood Orange Gin

Fallen Angel doesn’t just make bottles perfect for this time of year, but flavours too. Its Blood Orange Gin shines here in a delightfully spooky serve.

Ingredients:

15ml Fallen Angel Blood Orange Gin

15ml Cointreau

15ml Fresh blood orange juice

Prosecco

Blood orange slice

Method:

Shake Fallen Angel Blood Orange Gin, Cointreau, and fresh blood orange juice with ice. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice and top up with Prosecco, garnish with a slice of blood orange.

Dark Bargain 10 Year Old

No Tricks, All Treats!

Dark Bargain 10 Year Old is peated Islay single malt perfect for Halloween. Just look at that scary label… Add salted caramel sauce and other goodies like we have and what you get is this cracking cocktail.

Ingredients:

50ml Dark Bargain 10 Year Old

25ml salted caramel sauce

25ml lemon juice

3 drops of Ms. Better’s Bitters Miraculous Foamer

Cinnamon

Method:

Place all ingredients except for the cinnamon into a shaker, dry shake. Add ice to the shaker and shake well. Stain and pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with cinnamon.

Ilegal Reposado

Nothing illegal about how good this mezcal tastes, especially once you add the bright, bittersweet flavours of grapefruit to the mix.

Ingredients:

50ml Ilegal Reposado

15ml Fresh lime juice

Grapefruit soda

Grapefruit slices

Salt

Method:

Rim a tall glass with salt (optional). In a tall ice-filled glass, pour Ilegal Mezcal, fresh lime juice and top up with grapefruit soda. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
