Mother’s Day drinks
Now, let’s dive into some delicious cocktail recipes that are perfect for Mother’s Day.
1. French 75
- 35ml Bathtub Gin
- 15ml fresh lemon juice
- 5ml sugar syrup (or more to taste)
- 100ml Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label
- Dash of Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
Shake the first three ingredients with ice and strain into a Champagne flute. Top up with chilled Champagne, stir, add a dash of bitters and garnish with a lemon twist.
- Apricot Whisky Sour
- 50ml Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year Old
- 30ml Giffard Apricot
- 30ml lemon juice
- 2 dashes bitters
- 1 egg white
- Lemon twist to garnish
Add all the ingredients to the shaker and dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Fill with ice and shake hard again, then double strain into a chilled tumbler and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
3. Strawberry Basil Margarita
- 25ml Rooster Rojo Reposado Tequila
- 25ml Cointreau
- 25ml lime juice
- 25ml strawberry puree
- 2-3 basil leaves
- Salt for rimming
- Lime wedge for garnish
In a shaker, muddle the basil leaves. Add Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and strawberry puree with ice. Shake well and strain into a salt-rimmed glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
4. Springtime Gin Spritz
- 50ml 6 O’clock Elderflower Gin
- 10ml Peach puree
- 100ml Prosecco
- Soda to top
- Cucumber ribbon to garnish
Add the gin and peach puree to a glass and stir. Add ice, and top with Prosecco and soda.
5. Coconut Daiquiri
- 50ml Project #173 Coconut Rum
- 25ml Lime juice
- 10ml Mango puree
Shake ingredients with plenty of ice and double strain into a chilled Martini or coupe glass. Serve with a wedge of pineapple on the side.
