The MoM Towers Trophy Cabinet is going to need another extension – our Master of Malt 40 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky won the Scotch Whisky Blended 21 Years Old and Over Trophy at the International Spirits Challenge 2017!
Earlier this week, the winners of the International Spirits Challenge were announced at an event in Gibson Hall in London. We donned our trusty bow ties, took our seats and were absolutely thrilled to jump up and accept yet another wieldable trophy to add to our extensive collection. What did we win? Well, our Master of Malt 40 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky picked up the Trophy for Scotch Whisky Blended 21 Years Old and Over!
Winning this Trophy is no small feat, and taking a look at the fierce competition that our 40 Year Old Blend was up against, we’re incredibly proud and excited that it was recognised as an extraordinarily supreme whisky. There may have been a few exclamations of “Get in!” from our table when it was announced…

Tasting Notes for Master of Malt 40 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky:
Nose: Full, luxurious and complex with brandy butter and rum and raisin notes. Jamaica ginger cake, banana and caramelised apple soon emerge.
Palate: The wonderful rum character really comes to the fore here before effortlessly handing over to soft, rich toffees and a little treacle.
Finish: Comforting and long with toffee, guava, and soft baking spices.
As if that wasn’t enough excitement, our Master of Malt 50 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky won a Silver Medal and our Master of Malt 30 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky won a Gold Medal too! A spectacular haul indeed!
