We’ve picked up Online Retailer of the Year and Independent Bottler of the Year awards from the Icons of Whisky, as well as Specialist Online Drinks Retailer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards 2023!
UPDATE: Master of Malt has since been named Global Online Retailer of the Year at the Icons of Whisky 2023
Beyonce has all the Grammys. The Irish are coming for the Oscars this year. My great uncle won that Darwin Award for the business with the electric toothbrush that doubles as a harpoon (you’ll be missed, Strange Simon).
But none of these compare to winning awards for being the best in booze. How would we know? Because we’ve got the medals to prove it, baby!
Here’s what we won this week:
- Specialist Online Drinks Retailer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards 2023
- Online Retailer of the Year at the Icons of Whisky 2023 (Rest of World*)
- Independent Bottler of the Year at the Icons of Whisky 2023 (Rest of World)
Our very own Julie Trewren was also Highly Commended for Spirits Buyer of the Year at the Icons of Whisky.
Master of Malt will now go through to the global finals for the Icons of Whisky awards next month too. We’re keen to stress none of this has gone to our heads. Which now have crowns on them. And in some cases, tiaras. I think the latter suits Jake very well.
A big reason for all this excitement is thanks to the whisky we have, as you might have guessed, with exclusives like Glenfarclas 10 Year Old (55%), and creations like our Burns Night Blend, as well as our own range of single cask bottlings which included selections as diverse as Invergordon 45 Year Old 1972 or PUNI 4 Year Old 2012 demonstrating that we sometimes do have a slight idea of what we’re doing. We’re delighted so many of you enjoy them.
We can also assure you that Master of Malt celebrated responsibly. On a completely unrelated note, if anyone sees a pair of tiaras near The King Henry pub, please return them. Jake and I are very worried.
