Last night we donned our glad rags and high-tailed it up to the glitzy eCommerce Awards 2017 – and we were delighted to find ourselves among a small clutch of companies to pick up not just one but TWO trophies!

The eCommerce Awards are the Oscars of online retail – it’s an annual fancy do at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, hosted by comedian Rob Beckett. We are incredibly proud that we were honoured alongside some of the biggest brands in the sector (we even pipped one sizeable supermarket to the post in one category. Later in the evening they were up for Large eCommerce Company of the Year alongside the likes of B&Q and O2. Wowzers.). We love what we do and it means a lot that other people get excited about us too!

The celebrations got under way early – the very first award to be announced was Best Grocery eCommerce. We only went and won it! Behind the scenes we’ve been working hard to keep Master of Malt at the forefront of drinks retailing, and it’s amazing to be recognised as best in class.

And the festivities didn’t stop there. We also picked up the trophy for Best Innovation in eCommerce Delivery/Logistics! Our amazing team pulls together to make it possible for us to offer UK next-day delivery until 9pm, and even if there’s just one ‘free shipping’ product in your basket, the whole caboodle ships free! We also invest in our packaging to make sure all your lovely boozes reach you in perfect order – with the air pack and cardboard all fully recyclable. (We’ve also made our packages smaller so they take up 5% less volume, and we’ve cut our total cardboard use by 3.5%!) Our epic warehouse move last year also seemed to impress (and it should! 1,500 person-hours in one weekend is quite the effort. And not one order was delayed).

All in all, we’re beyond thrilled. And incredibly grateful to all you wonderful folk for making Master of Malt what is is. You constantly help us improve – and we will never stop working to make the customer experience the very best it can be. Onwards!
