Medals are great, we love receiving medals for our delicious whiskies and spirits (oh, how we love it!) – but do you know what’s even better than medals? Trophies! Great hunking trophies that could be wielded to devastating effect should the urge take you!
With that in mind, you can imagine the degree to which we all had our fingers, toes and eyes crossed as we sent five of our finest off to the International Spirits Challenge Awards Dinner (where them there trophies are announced!)…
You may already be aware that our Bathtub Gin had already received a Gold Medal in both the Premium and Super Premium categories at the International Spirits Challenge whilst our Master of Malt 40 Year old Speyside (2nd Edition) also won Gold and was named Best In Class – could either of these also pick up a Trophy? The one we really had our eye on however, was the trophy for the UK Retailer of The Year…
Which went to… us! Yay! Cake party time! A massive thanks to all of you – our customers – without whom none of this would be possible. Give yourselves a pat on the back and bask in the glory of the trophy! Regard it!

The MoM team would have to take the stage once more during the evening however as… (drum roll please)… the double Gold medal-winning Bathtub Gin picked up a Trophy! Huzzah! One of only two awarded across all gin categories!
The trophy’s 12 feet high, and it is glorious!
International Spirits Challenge 2013 Tasting Note:

2013 has of course been quite some year for us already and it shows no signs of slowing down!
Back in February we were named Online Retailer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards 2013 organised by Off Licence News. Not whisky retailer, not even spirits retailer but drinks retailer of the year! Nice. That and Innovator of the Year of course! (We’re quite good at innovation, it’s kind of our thing.)
At the World Whiskies Awards 2013 back in March, we were then named global Online Whisky Retailer of the Year and Whisky Brand Innovator of the Year amongst a total of 6 awards picked up during the evening!
An enormous thank you once again. We love you all, especially you.
