Eden Mill has officially swung open the doors to its brand-new distillery and visitor centre.
The sleek, sustainable showpiece that will create whisky and gin for the brand sits right on the banks of the Eden Estuary, just outside the Home of Golf™. And it’s a stunner.
This multi-million-pound marvel boasts renewable power, panoramic views, and even a state-of-the-art golf simulator (because of course St Andrews would).
What to expect
Visitors can now tour the distillery, shop exclusive bottlings, or head upstairs to The Lookout, a 40-seat cocktail bar with sweeping views of the water and the St Andrews skyline. Expect cocktails, local cheese and charcuterie boards. The bar’s open daily from midday to 10pm. Book ahead or simply wander in.
There’s also an immersive gin experience, a Cask Mastery Whisky Experience (complete with chauffeur service and behind-the-scenes access), and even a Gin Cocktail Masterclass where you can shake up your own creations.
And if that’s not enough temptation, the on-site shop’s packed with distillery exclusives, local chocolates, reclaimed whisky-wood gifts, and the full Eden Mill range.

The new Eden Mill distillery
A distillery with local heart
The project has created 18 new jobs in the area and carries deep local roots. Brand home manager Euan Kinninmonth is the fourth generation of his family to work on the same site that once housed the old paper mill.
“It’s a landmark moment,” he says, “not just for Eden Mill, but for St Andrews as a whole.”
To celebrate the grand opening, Eden Mill is releasing an exclusive single cask of oloroso sherry-matured whisky, only available at the new distillery.
